For this piece, I used text from a restrictive covenant from Huntington, West Virginia in 1921. I printed the text using wood type onto file folders, on the Vandercook 1 at In Cahoots Residency in Petaluma, California. I then cut out all of the letters from the file folders, and glued alternating positive and negative sections onto a board, creating a collograph plate. I sealed the plate with gel medium and then letterpress printed it.
