I am submitting prints from a suite of editioned prints I created using letterpress plates and wood type from my personal collection. The images of men’s’ faces and bodies are printed from antique photoengraved letterpress plates. The graphic forms are antique wood letters printed on mohawk superfine paper using a Showcard Model A proof press.

This work is about layering printed information and representing the relationship between gesture and message. Frozen figures and decontextualized letter forms interact through the printing process to invent a moment communication.
